I am very excited to finally unveil my new song! I have been lost in this one for the past two weeks, trying to make it right since the topic is a little awkward. It’s still a tough one for me, but I tested it out last night on a live crowd at the best jam in town, The Grey Goat in Newmarket, and they loved it! (Thanks always to the band, Ryan Ainsworth for a beautiful slide solo and to Manny DeGrandis and Corey Richardson for rockin’ the rhythm section. xo)
So, I think this is gonna’ be one of the big tunes on my upcoming album. I just love singing it and it really has taken on a life of its’ own. It’s also the first song I completely wrote on the beautiful 1972 Martin D12-20 that my unbelievably generous Uncle just handed down to me about a month ago! Thanks Ted, I said I would dedicate my next song to you and even though this topic is totally not what I had in mind, today, this one is for you. I hope you like it, thanks.
It’s also for the very few people who know what the hell the song is about. Please accept my apologies, laugh, and know that I’m a compulsive writer and just couldn’t help myself!
I’ve made a rather egotistical-looking slide show to go with the song… but as my good friend Brad says, “If I see a girl singing on TV, I’m more likely to actually stop and continue listening if she looks hot!” Good advice, man, I’m taking it!
Thanks for listening!

I love the song – great job!
And I see that you are using Wordpress – my favourite blogging software. You should add a free sharing plugin and FB like plugin. This makes it easy for people listening to say they like the song then it shows up as a like on FB. “AddThis” is another good SM sharing tool that allows users to share your post with any number of SM sites.
If you need help, let me know.
Thanks so much Jay!
